Major ETF groups and shares

I like to monitor shares in these major ETF groups during my analysis routine. My ETF trading strategies are core stock trading strategies I use in my trading.

There are much more major groups of exchange fund shares available then several years ago. Names like ishares etfs, proshares etfs, powershares etf, rydex etf and spdr etf shares are now quite common between investors and traders.

The list of available major ETFs is much wider and also my analysis software tracks plenty of major ETF shares. I use their analysis for several different purposes but with one target: to make more profitable trades.

How to divide etf securities for etf research

I divide them into these major ETF groups:

Market index ETF shares

SPY ETF chart

Sector / Industry based ETF shares

I like to add also some sub-sector exchange traded funds into my list of major ETF shares. Like Airline exchange traded funds.

Fixed Income ETF shares

TLT ETF chart

I personally have bond ETF shares and municipal bond etf shares also in groups of exchange traded fund I monitor for possible trade opportunities. I do not do too much trades with these fixed income fund shares but as you can see on several charts there are trends also in major bond exchange traded funds.

International ETF

There are also another stock exchanges around the world.  It is possible to trade directly on local international stock markets if you want to trade 24 hours a day and also if you have good broker who offers you access to these major international markets.

Or it is possible to trade only on US markets and trade groups of exchange traded funds which cover international markets. Major groups of international ETF shares are traded on US stock exchanges and it is important advantage. The US exchanges are very liquid stock markets and offer best trader protection.
